Forgiveness in these Times
by Sai Grafio
Just as Nelson Mandela and Mahatma Ghandi forgave themselves and the whole world, so do we have to do likewise in these times. As we leave three dimensional consciousness and rise to the fourth (heart charka) we will all have to understand what it means to place aside our differences and feel that we are all one being. As we suspend our third dimensional beliefs and conditionings we can begin to understand the light coming from the Hunab Ku in 2012. The Hunab Ku is impartial as the light is impartial.
No one may go to the father without going through the sun, meaning that we cannot eliminated one son of God from our consciousness and everyone is that Son of God whether it be Osama Bin Laden or George W. Bush. All are bathed by the same love and light. The only reason for any philosophy or religion to exist in the first place is for us to understand unity. Sai Baba says, “Love all and serve all.” Why do you think that all universal teachers such as Jesus, Buddha or Sai Baba teach forgiveness? This cannot be done without first forgiving ourselves. We must forgive ourselves for not understanding this oneness principle.
If there is anyone you cannot tolerate or forgive, do it now. Forgive like it never happened for to say I forgive you is double damming. Our minds keep us from wholeness. If there is a mind that sees separation, then that mind cannot perceive wholeness. If you perceive evildoers in the world forgive them. How many times were we in darkness and had wrong perceptions as they did? “Forgive them father for they know not what they do”. All of suffer from ignorance (avidya) until we come into the light. Whoever you are looking at you is looking at the face of God for all of us are a drop in that ocean. It is easy for the drop to merge into that ocean but we must allow the ocean of God to merge into the drop that we are. Yes, we live in a world of injustice, oppression and ignorance but we must forgive. Jesus asked Barabas to forgive the Roman oppressors. Only by this affirmation of forgiveness can full unity be expressed.
How can we attain the universal state of cosmic consciousness without forgives. Whatever we have done to the least, we have done to the all. Martin Luther King said, that injustices that exist anywhere exist everywhere. He suffered the admonition of his oppressors and was vehemently rebuked at the time but he never wavered in his practice of non-violence and forgiveness of them as did Mahatma Ghandi. “Maha” means great and atma means soul. We have to become great souls. Who is the enemy? NO ONE! To rebuke another is to rebuke and hate oneself.
Before Moses and before the Ten Commandments the law was such that if one member of a tribe transgressed against another the whole tribe was held accountable for a slaughter. Moses came and administered a law of only one eye for one eye. Later, Jesus recognized that it was only because of the hardness of our hearts that this law was given and he said that love supercedes the law of karma and to love out enemies. Just as he read the hearts and minds of those about to throw stones at a woman who committed adultery, “Let he who is without sin cast the first stone.” As the light increases on this planet it is incumbent upon all of us to search our own souls and to increase the light within and not regress into ignorance. Ignorance is the darkness that we are separate and not one being. There is no other to hate for we are all one. Let this recognition prevail as we greet the dawning of the Age of Aquarius and the brotherhood of all men. Om, Shanthi, Shanthi, Om.
